Britney Spears: Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know cover September 5, 2009.
I was going to entitle this post, Hmm, So This Is Why She Never Sings Live, or words to that effect, but it was just a little too easy.
Britney Spears sang live for the only time that I have seen so far, during her Circus Live World Tour 2009. The singer stunned fans in Greensboro, NC, as she cleared the cheese dust and cigarette ash out of her throat and sang all proper like an actual musician, to Alanis Morrisette’s 1995 song You Oughta Know.
Original song & photos of Britney Spears wearing that particular costume below.

To quote Lewis Black.
I would rather shove a spoon up my *ss because it would hurt less”
Why oh why do these things happen?
They happen so our darling little Cheese Puff can continue to, in the words of Anderson Cooper (talking about Heidi Montag), “pretend to be a singer”.
Mad props for finding THE BEST video of Britney’s cover!!!!
I’ll use this YouTube version when I update tomorrow.
Hearts.
Yeah, I’d noticed you pick up a few of my videos/ pics and them post before. You know how I do over here… I like HQ not the sh*tty grainy crap that’s been floating around all day. xoxo
She’s not singing live. That is definately pre-recorded so she could lip synch to it. Pathetic.
Welcome to the site and thanks for the comment, Summer. I read that in a few places, after posting… and I think you may very well be right. Gah. Pathetic indeed!
