Realising this is the first time in years she’s been allowed to speak without her publicist filter, imagine my surprise to find Britney Spears can sort of string together (somewhat random) platitudinous adjectives to explain her standing as an X Factor judge. Asked ‘Do you like chocolate milk?’ she replied: ‘I’m looking for someone who shows spark and spunk [who is] meant to do what they’re doing. I think I’m a fair judge. Sometimes it’s kind of hard because I know what they’ve been through and being so young… it’s such a delicate situation when they’re that young. You just have to use constructive criticism and be there for them and show them support. I don’t think I’m the toughest judge at all. I definitely think Simon would have to be the toughest judge.’
