Britney Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, have reconciled as a couple and are back together; they’re not re-marrying, or anything drastic that would require their daughter to use the good suds to launder her fanciest cut-offs. The parents of Spears divorced in 2002, after 30 years of marriage together, in what marked the end of Spears’ heavily-staged cookie-cutter image; it was pretty hard to convince people that her life was perfect and aspirational when her parents’ divorce meant she had to pick sides (she chose her mother, at least at first).
Although this appears to have started as a ‘source’ report from People, it’s being repeated by TMZ and Gossip Cop, both of whom claim to have sources corroborating the reunion. Also, any news of the Spears family means I have reason to post new candids. Like the one above of Spears’ demented weave and whale tale, during a visit to the Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills, CA on Monday.
