Britney Spears and Jason Trawick got engaged over a year ago with no intention to marry until some of her court cases ended so they wouldn’t have to explain why she was mentally fit for live television and marriage but unfit to stand trial. There were rumours of unrest in the relationship late last year, with sources claiming that Trawick would leave immediately after X Factor so as not to disrupt production. Spears ‘quit’ X Factor yesterday evening. And this evening, buried on a Friday, TMZ.com says they’ve split. Apparently, they split a while ago but didn’t want to announce it until he was removed from her conservatorship which is happening right now. Sources explain, the couple ‘remain friends’ but they ‘grew apart’ so it’s a good thing she didn’t marry this one too.
