Britney Spears has release the Hold It Against Me music video. The Hold It Against Me video comes following about two weeks of previews released on Spears’ YouTube channels (of which she seems to have four, BritneySpears, BritneyTVSME, OfficialBritneyUK, and BritneySpearsVEVO). They ranged from less than a second of footage in their 5-second long snippets to the release of a 30-second-long preview the day before the world premiere. Below each, the video’s original premiere time of 9:56 p.m. EST was noted. This was later amended to 9:55, as the video turned out ‘a bit longer’ than her team expected. The video was choreographed by Brian Friedman, who was apparently attacked on Twitter by angry fans who were unimpressed by the lackluster dance moves in the 30-second preview. ‘Britney Fans… I DIDNT edit or direct the video so please do not place hostility at me if you aren’t happy with what you have seen or see,’ he responded. ‘Britney worked her ass off for this video and she and I hope that you all love it.’ The Jonas Akerlund-directed video has finally been released on MTV, MTV.com, VEVO, and the singer’s social media channels.
