Simon Cowell was pretty open (and shameless) about the fact he only hired Britney Spears to judge X Factor USA because he was hoping she would go off her meds at some point during the live shows and millions would watch get to watch her breakdown. Her threw millions at her and gave her whatever contract she wanted and got his own writer to pen enough bon mots to fill the season two teaser. However, aside from allegations that producers were feeding her lines through an earpiece, Spears was left to her own devices during the live rounds and said very little except ‘Amazing’ which isn’t amazing when you’re being paid $15 million. And since she didn’t breakdown, or go off-script, or entertain at all, she’s reportedly not welcome back for another season. Sources tell Us Weekly Magazine the singer will be fired: ‘Britney will get the boot. Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working. They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps. [Simon] wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney.’
