Billy Ray Wants To Be Friends With Miley Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus clearly hasn’t learned his lesson and has spoken about his desire to maintain more of a friendship relationship with his wayward, immoral daughter who’s demonstrated an alarming lack of foresight and common sense, outside of being manipulated by handlers (I’m going partially on observation of things like this and this and her father’s GQ interview). The former country singer gave an interview on Wednesday morning’s Good Morning America, with one of the many women of colour who seems to irrationally anger Chris Brown, Robin Roberts. Speaking again about his GQ interview, Cyrus admitted his entire family were upset after he gave such an extensive and damning interview about his own daughter. ‘I think we [my family] were all upset with me after reading the article,’ he said. ‘What I meant to say and what I hope I said was fame can be a dangerous animal and it’s a delicate thing.’ That’s not what he said at all, not even that comment about the devil. But whatever. He’s not really trying to fix people’s perception of him. ‘As far as convincing anybody of anything, I don’t have to do that… I just want to put my family back together,’ he said. It seems to be working, he called off his divorce and the wife with whom he’s still together posted a happy family statement on her Facebook page. ‘I still think that my kids need a Dad,’ he said. ‘I can promise them that I’ll come back in and do the very best I can do.’ Adding, ‘I may be persecuted for saying it, but I still want to be Miley’s friend. I want to be that person that she comes to talk to for good, bad, indifferent. I want to be the person she wants to talk to. I just want her to trust and know that I love her more than life itself, and I’ll be by her side through the good and the bad.’ It’s being a friend not a parent that meant she was doing legal drugs from a bong and posing for ever-more provocative pictures. That’s ignoring her disturbing magnetic attraction to the crotches of whichever males are in the room… oh, and because I went a little nuts photo editing this one, there are pictures of father/daughter dating back to April 2006.
