We wake up to very very sad news today. Much loved and very talented comedian Bernie Mac today died, at 50 years old [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
This tragedy is not yet widely reportedly, mainly due to the number of false reports last week that Mac had died after a spell of pneumonia.
The NY Times and People and however are reporting this as fact and offer quoted from Mac’s publicist.
A publicist says Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor and comedian Bernie Mac has died at age 50. Mac died early Saturday at a hospital in the Chicago area of complications due to pneumonia.
“[He] passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital,” his rep, Danica Smith, told PEOPLE. “No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.”
