Poor little Black Eyed Peas. The band were mistakenly named Best International Group at the NRJ Awards in Cannes, as pictured above. US singer Ke$ha and French choreographer Kamel Ouali must have inhaled too many fumes, on their flight, on their way to the ceremony. The BEPs were wrongly announced as the best-est band in the world, evaaar, but did not take the stage to accept the award. Realising their mistake and met by boos from the crowd, the pair giving out the award apologised for getting confused. Their excuse was that the card with the winner had a whole bunch of other superfluous words on it, and it made their ickle brains hurt. The real award winners were German band Tokio Hotel.

That sucks! What a bummer
Sucks for them – there was a screw up last year as well. According to the source “Katy Perry accepted the trophy for best international song [last year], which should have gone to Rihanna.”
Sounds like someone needs to get their act together. I can’t imagine thinking I won an award and even accepting it to be told it was a mistake.
