Steven Spielberg has just been added to my list of ‘People who have desecrated a holy grail of cinema and as punishment shall have rude things done to them with a sharpened raddish’ [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
I generally think Spielberg is a hot biatch. He has had a couple of FAIL films, but in general he can still spank most of the young pretenders. Being that he is so good at spanking ‘n’ all, Berg has gotten a little carried away and decided to use his cinematic powers for eeeevil. According to reports, this weekend, Spielberg has decided to take a nice long, warm, piss all over one of my favourite movies, Chan Wook-Park’s masterpiece, ‘OldBoy’.
Now, for those who have not seen this film, I must say… BE GONE to IMDb or Wiki with you, or I shall never speak to you again!
For those of you badass enough to know about the film, you will already know how FETCH it is – I laughed, I cried, I stayed interested from start to end credits, in a way I never really do with American films. Berg has basically made public that I can go eff myself and that he will bastardize ANY GD DAMN FILM HE WANTS!
According to Variety:
Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are in early discussions to collaborate on a remake of Chan Wook-Park’s “Oldboy.”
Spielberg had been looking for an opportunity to make a film with Smith, who would play the kidnapped man if all the pieces fall into place. Spielberg is looking for a writer to begin the development process.
