Ashton Kutcher quit Twitter for 30-minutes after speaking in support of Penn State’s Joe Paterno. In response to news of Paterno’s firing, out of context of the reason for his firing, Kutcher tweeted ‘How dare you fire Jo Pa? Insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.’ He was attacked for the tweet by people who have a problem with the cover-up of child rape. He deleted the offending tweets then blogged about handing over the management of his feed to his team. He never actually stopped tweeting. But he did throw a pity party saying things like ‘Trying to be a better person.’ Well, he’s apologised for the goof and a source (his publicist) has tried to explain the confusion to Page Six: ‘He’s been in a bubble. He works 12-hour days, is trying to save his marriage and is involved in the management of close to a dozen Internet companies, so he didn’t really know what he had done until it was too late. He feels terrible.’
