Despite today’s overexcitable rumours to the contrary, that I didn’t have the energy to publish as they seemed so stupid, Saint Angelina Jolie will not be playing Saint Marilyn Monroe in a future movie project. It was reported that the actress, who was in London Monday for the UK premiere of Salt, would play Monroe on the big screen. According to the actress herself, who was questioned on the red carpet by Sky News, the reports were untrue. Specifically, she says that she didn’t even hear the rumours and had no idea about these reports. Yeah. She didn’t know about the rumours and she denied them pretty quickly.
Jolie was in London last night for the premiere of her new spy thriller Salt and told Sky News that the speculation is wide of the mark. “It’s really funny because I have just heard about this for the first time today,” said Jolie. “It’s news to me. I’m flattered I suppose.” [Sky News]
People were in paragraphs-long apoplexy over this, though that’s hardly surprising. They were practically $hitting blood over Paris Hilton dressing as Monroe, last week. I guess people will be pretty pleased this rumour is untrue.

Rumor I heard was that she had been chosen over Scarlett for the role, which is evern more ridiculous, since ScarJo has (had) the body (and about the same talent level) as Marilyn… lol.
All those rumours were stupid – glad she cleared them up.
