Totally with you, no matter how bad a relationship gets, there’s no taking it back once the person passes away. They don’t need to be friends, but being civil is great, at this point in their relationship.

I am glad for them, life is too short to hold grudges. Fact is, once that person you hold a grudge against dies, you have to live with it for the rest of your life.
I just hope they can keep the peace, he is getting old now.
