For the moment, anyways, Angelina Jolie has appropriated all the overseas children she cares to. The actress, girlfriend of Brad Pitt, and serial adopter, has been in the press more than usual over reports she is going to be adopting a baby from earthquake-afflicted Haiti. Had the reports been accurate, she would have been one of the scores of women in the media making the annoying, trendy statement that this week’s fad applied to them also; they were planning on adopting from Haiti. In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, airing today, Jolie denied the lazy reporting about her adoption plans. However, she did leave the door open to further speculation about her future adoption plans. Ugh.
Watch Angelina Jolie’s interview on CNN, answering that asinine question.

I sometimes wonder if Brad and Angelina are this generations Mia Farrow and Woody Allen – adopt a gazillion kids, sprinkle in a few biologicals, never get married, then when Zahara, their oldest adopted girl grows up, Brad will marry her, a la Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn.
Will history repeat itself? I hope I do NOT live long enough to see it. Once was enough, thank-you-very-much.
Ah – great comparison. It kind of made me feel ill (the thought of Brad marrying Zahara. ICK).
Yeah, I had a little tiny vomit-belch when I was writing it.
