Amy Winehouse Concert Footage St. Lucia Jazz Festival – May 8, 2009.
Amy Winehouse attempted to make a comeback on a St. Lucia stage. The island has become dear to her heart and she has spent the better part of the year nestled there hiding from her problems. However, the weather and her equilibrium were not on her side on the day she decided to attend the St. Lucia Jazz Festival 2009.
The festival – which would have been her first of the year so far – was a washout due to a heavy rain storm. Winehouse’s spokesman Chris Goodman said in a statement Saturday that the singer abandoned her performance on Friday at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival due to unsuitable conditions.
Well, at least that is what they want you to think. Look around online today and you will see two very different accounts of what happened. Some are siding up with the Rep and saying that the crappy weather screwed Wino v2.o’s shot at a decent performance. However, those who have sat and attempted to watch the video above will not be quite so forgiving and claim that the cracky jitters and her too-heavy weave got the best of the tiny star, rendering her incapable of standing up straight or giving her fans what they had came for.
Amy Winehouse told booing fans to “f*ck off” as she cut short her comeback concert in the Caribbean. The star, 25, also flashed her knickers, stumbled on stage, and even appeared to forget lyrics. (via Pop Crunch)
