I just wanted to let you know quite far in advance that I will be taking this blog from Blogger to WordPress this afternoon. That means that if you can see this notice I am fiddling around behind the scenes and making the move.
This site MAY BE DOWN any time between (now) late Friday and say, Monday 18 Aug.
Sorry if the site looks wonky while you are reading, or it seems to disappear altogether. I have to do lots of admin-y stuff to get up and running on a new platform, which may take the site down for a little while at a time .
But don’t worry… I am a blogging addict and I will miss my fix as much as you do! The site should be up and running, fully functional and on WordPress by 18 Aug.

Thanks for stopping by, appreciate the support! Scared as heck but I figure it's worth doing sooner rather than later.
I think I may regret staying on a free host.
The move will take at least the weekend as I have to wait for the nameservers to update before I can even think about uploading a template, importing the posts & comments and then customizing etc. as needed.
If things are still screwy after 48 hours (Monday onward) I have a whole week from late Wednesday onward, without interruption, to get it looking just right.
This weekend (or next at the very latest) the blog should be in its new digs and the posting will be back to normal.

P.S. As a spoiler the new template is a pretty ,black three three column, widget ready jobby.
UPDATE 17 AUG: Spent 30 hours pretty much non-stop getting the site up and running… had a few hiccups and the site even went down for a bit. But I have finally done all the basic set-up. Please let me know, everyone, if you find any bugs. I am not so accustom to this template as my old Blogger one!
Lastly, I would like to cautiously let people reading this know, I (at the mo anyway) intend to keep this template and only tweak and better it.
I did have another theme I liked (as I mention in comment 2), but it was buggy and the person who made it hard-coded adsense ads and only made one of the two side bars accessible!

It’ll work out, usually a few headaches now and again. One day I may get a premium theme for my blog and have someone do me an original design, but I tweak what I can, usually break a few things here and there.
