I’ll keep it light on the commentary, as I’m too unmedicated to wrap my head around all the controversy that surrounds this man. All that I will point out is that the interview is about a week too late, as we have all by now seen pictures of him hanging on the arm of his new thang, Drake Labry.
Lambert divulges that, yes, he is gay as his fans suspected and he shares that he knew about his sexuality since childhood.

On his sexuality: “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear I’m gay. I’ve been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man. I’ve been at clubs drunk making out with somebody in the corner. I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
“Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler. I didn’t want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullshit. I need to be able to explain myself in context.”
On his childhood: “I started to realize I wasn’t like every other boy. I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen. I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, bitch!’”
On Kris Allen being his secret crush: “They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.”
I think he has potential. If he lost the latent-emo look and hit the weights, he could have a nice (young) Tom Ford-y look going on. He also needs to either wax the chest or grow it out. That cropped crap is gross.
As for his music, I don’t care. I never watch that show or buy any of the wacktracks their people make. And yeah, this is almost as ‘whatev’ as Clay Aiken coming out.

I was sort of suffering from Idol withdrawals but I guess i’m over it now. Idk why i’m not attracted to him anymore lol. Yes I knew he was guy but there was something kinda sexy about him idk.

Lol, sorry. He’s much better looking w/o all of the makeup but it’s part of his look. I love that he had a crush on Kris Allen b/c I can totally see Kris trying to fight him off and then just giving in…..

I have this picture in my head of them struggling in a dressing room and Kris Allen stuttering about how it was an abomination and that he could burn in hell and then just melting into Adam’s arms in the sudden flush of heat with steam slowly emanating off their naked, lithe, bodies and the mirror getting cloudy and Kris moaning softly and begging for Adam to whisper “Jail House Rock” in his ear with a very Elvis-like sneer as Adam takes him down there.
