Adam Lambert is still being punished for his civil disobedience at the AMAs.
ABC are no longer banning him from shows. Instead, they are offering him the crappiest show on their roster to throw him under the bus. Well, that’s my opinion. An opinion I formed after I learned Lambert had been welcomed back into the suffocating arms of ABC by being booked on The View.
Lambert will be lambasted and beaten into an irreversible state of depression on The View Thursday. The singer was cancelled from Jimmy Kimmel, which would have been a better fit for his persona. This is what he gets instead. The appearance and performance of one song will be pre-taped, so any antics will never be seen on air. This is his uninteresting path back into ABC’s good books, assuming he still cares enough to behave and prove himself.
Jarrett Barrios, President of the GLAAD, stepped in following his statement from this post saying, “ABC has taken a step towards fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on The View. GLAAD has been advocating against the double standards that have been applied to Lambert as an openly gay performer.”

Yes, it’s true he will be on The View. But as of a few minutes ago, the ladies that kvetch let the audience know that Lambert will appear PRE-RECORDED just to avoid any scandal.
Now, I’m not that old. But I do know more music history than the average person since I run a music blog. This is the very first instance that I am personally aware of when something like this has happened. This never happened to Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Kiss and the untold hordes of rock and metal bands. Of course, this is also the first time that the artist is openly out of the closet and quite proud of his (homo)sexuality.
ABC/Disney should be boycotted. It’s just that simple.
Um, that isn’t new information. I knew about that yeasterday, and I mention that detail in the post.
I think ABC have to be careful, you may have a point and if they continue this treatment they may have a boycott on their hands.
