ABC Cancels Adam Lambert from Jimmy Kimmel

Adam-Lambert-Tweet-About-Jimmy-KimmellABC should just cancel Adam Lambert from life and be done with it. The singer has been cancelled from a second appearance on a popular show. This time ABC have cancelled Adam Lambert’s scheduled performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The singer was supposed to appear on the funny man’s show and crotch thrust the night away. However, being fired from life means that he will have to make do with his appearance on another prime time show with Jay Leno.

The singer has been Twittering about the second cancellation. He says that we shouldn’t be angry at the network. He suggests they are scared of being butt-effed in the shower of life by the FCC. His hair is too epic for him to be able to concentrate/ be bothered by something this minor. Check out what he has to say above, or sing along to the video below about hating the Freaking FCC.

Family Guy’s Peter Griffin (rightly) hates the Freaking FCC… singing fuels hate.

Hmmmm. Being from England, should I even bother to look Adam Lambert up? Does he have any talent at all?

    1. I am too – and he’s more show than anything. Pretty good showman, but you’re not missing anything.

I thought you were from UK too but got confused for a while there!

ABC is owned by Disney. Disney is historically quite antisemitic. Ergo, ABC is being antisemitic AS WELL AS homophobic by banning Glambert. That’s my position.

But really, he’s not particularly great. Cute and he has a good quality voice, but the songs themselves are distinctly mediocre.

…and racist, and sexist… which is why I have belated beef with them and a whole bunch of cartoons that gave me complexes as a child.

      Agreed. And, well said.

I think his looks and (buckets full of) charisma are getting him a long way – but he’s kind of middle-of-the-road talent-wise.

  4. Mystery Man says:

from what I hear, this is more ABC being scared he’ll do something to upset the FCC (who will fine you for anything they think is wrong, such as showing the slightest bit of skin…you’d think they were from some Arab country where no skin is allowed, y’know)

good to see he’s keeping a positive attitude about all this, though.

    1. Darth Paul says:

Yes. “Scared” that the homo will upset the masses (while Disney pimps children- looking at YOU Montana, Cheetah Girls, etc.), which means if he does anything beyond the blandest Clay Aiken lullaby, it’s “offensive”.

That sounds like homophobia to me. Or just plain hypocritical stupidity.

    2. ABC are chicken shits. I bet he wouldn’t have done anything on GMA or Kimmel. The FCC have everyone scared after that stupid Janet Jackson Superbowl thing. I agree with Mystery Man that it’s good he’s not whipping fans into a frenzy.

I also agree with what Darth Paul said, in that the channel itself is clearly homophobic.

      1. Rain says:

For a homophobic channel, they seem to have an awful lot of homosexuals. Let’s start with the two most visible ones on Good Morning America and work our way up their daily schedule. Now as for Disney, they do continue to host Gay Days behind the confines of the gates at DisneyWorld, despite the rabid hell-and-brimstone denouncements of ultra-fascist Christian groups like those of Fred Phelps’.

So I gather that the official line is that it’s not so much that they are anti-Gay, it’s that they just want Gays to hide their Gayness.

        So, yes, they are homophobic.

  5. Rain says:

Ah, yes…America, land of the free and home of the scared.

    1. It’s all shady – it’ll be interesting to see if this ends up in a lifetime ban, or just keeping on cancelling Lambert for the foreseeable future. I’m keen to know if or when they next book him.

  6. Rain says:

You know this may a little off topic but a friend from France commented recently that this country is just marvelous at starting social revolutions and just as marvelous at trying to destroy them when they seem to start reaping any social gains from them.

He pointedly singled out the Women’s, Gay, and Civil Rights movements. But he also went off on a full-on treatise of the principles of real democratic government at which point I started to get bleary-eyed. (Don’t know if it was the meandering course of his commentary or the four pints of Guiness.)

    Thank goodness for Guiness.
