Saint Angelina wins again [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Tom Cruise was expected to star in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt which is to be released in 2010.

However, according to various reports out today, he was given the boot because producers got sick of his diva ways and his ridiculous wage demands.

Chuh! Saint Angelina would obviously be more fun to work with! Really, who would you rather spend 20-hours per day on a closed set with?

According to Coming Soon:

Jolie is close to a deal to play the title character, a CIA officer who’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence.

Cruise had long flirted with the project, but that ended recently. The well-regarded script had several male movie stars circling.

Jolie took a liking to it, prompting the studio’s decision to rewrite it. The trade adds that the project won’t require that much of an overhaul to suit her.

The project will also get a new title, obv. Oh, I’m really good at this. How about renaming it… ‘Snakes on a Plane’? Oh, wait, hang on…

Angelina Jolie has refuted claims that she and partner Brad Pitt used I.V.F (In Vitro Fertilization) to get pregnant with their twins [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Only a month ago, claims were abound that the pair, too impatient to get pregnant the natural way, opted for medical intervention.

Jolie says this is not the case:

“If they had been conceived by IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it,” Angie says in a new interview. “But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems.”

Mah man Micheal K, over at D-Listed advises that when gazing at the splendor of the wonder-twins you:

Put your darkest sunglasses on, stand at least 10 feet away and carefully look through the pinhole to feast your eyes on the incredible and powerful beauty of the twin messiahs! Then you must immediately get on your knees and worship your computer screen. They can see you, trust me.

Hahaha, funny shit. And, I concur!

Angelina said in the exclusive People interview (that was part of a 19 page spread… yes, 19 pages GD it!):

“It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time,” Jolie tells PEOPLE of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple’s four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château’s sprawling grounds.

Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. “[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins’] clothes and help change and hold them,” says Jolie. “It’s sweet – they are little mommies.”

The pair, who have had two undoubtedly gorgeous and stylishly dressed twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, are set to bank $14 million for the proverbial money-shot.

People Magazine have managed to snag the winning bid, in order to bore people everywhere with 30 pages, yes 30 pages of shots of tiny babies, who, and let’s face it, will inevitable look just like anyone elses babies (!?!).

I don’t really get the whole ludicrous-amounts-of-money-for-baby-photos thing. I mean, who started it already? Was a celebrity sitting around at home, twiddling their thumbs and trying to work out how much their spawn could be worth, if they pimped them out to the media? Or, was it a bored journalist, with a budget the size of an elephant, twiddling their thumbs wondering what constructive thing they could possibly find to do with $14 million?

Either way. It is here and it is real. Although celebs like Halle Berry and Matthew McConaughey have bucked the trend.

(…At this point in her day, Amy Grindhouse is usually delirious from lack-of-sleep, after a long 12-hours of blogging and she sometimes struggles to see sense… she thinks for a minute, laughs and concedes defeat).
