90210 v2.0 Girls Are Too Thin

The first thing I would like to say about this story is that I totally don’t even watch Beverly Hills, 90210 v2.0. [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Gossip Girl and MTV’s The Hills suck me dry and give me enough reason to want to kill-myself-dead-right-in-the-face/ kick myself to death, as it is*.

I gather that some of you reading this, actually watch this shit, ‘cos you too are itching for a reason to hate yourself.

But don’t despair, the producers of the show care about what you watch, even if you don’t.

Reports have surfaced that the producers and cast on 90210 v.2.0. are about to stage an intervention for two of the actresses on the show, because they are too hot or something.

Oh, OK, it’s ‘cos they look about the width of my ickle finger. Or, as thin as I am in my wildest dreams, if you will.

According to US Weekly:

Stroup, 21, is 5-foot-8 but weighs 100 to 105 pounds while Grimes, 18, is 5-foot-3 and stands at a mere 90 pounds, Beverly Hills-based weight-management expert Dr. Joyce Peters estimates to Us.

“I’ve never seen Jessica or Shenae eat,” another show source tells Us.

So shocking is the situation that their 90210 male costars are contemplating an intervention.

“I heard some of the boys on the show are going to sit down with the girls and talk to them,” an additional show source tells Us.

“The girls were all skinny when they started, but they’re definitely thinner now,” the source adds.

  1. There are some things even I can’t bare to watch. I do think it is funny though that they are planning an intervention. When Jewel Staite was cast in Firefly she was told by Joss Whedon to gain weight, same thing with Megan Fox I understand. I would love to see an end to the ultra skinny fad that is so unattractive.

  2. Hi, TMH (feels a bit mean to call you Whore, on your first visit!)

Glad you too are trying to excercise some self control and only punish your eyeballs by exposing them to moderate levels of garbage, rather than going all out!

The rail-thin standard is worrying and unrealistic and I think the trend has run its course and soon, people will demand to see curves on the screen again.

P.S. Will pop over either later today or tomorrow to say ‘Hello’, properly, k :D

Dang they do look too thin, as my Dad would say, “They look like two pimples on a gate post!”

    1. …Sir, I believe your father and I would therefore be firm friends!

I can totally sense the trend turning with shows now focusing on ‘real’ beauty, these star’s days are numbered.

  4. Chris says:

i sat through the first hour of the 2 episode premiere. wasn’t good, wasn’t bad. the second episode i lasted about 10 minutes before my brain threatened to hurt me if i didn’t stop.

lori loughlin is by far the most attractive female in that cast as she, ya know, eats.

i think they tried to follow up on the success of “the o.c.” and that show’s wafer thin female lead (who’s name escapes me as i thought she was unattractive as well).

in any case, it’s good people are starting to get over the ultra thin girl. it’s not hot and it’s not healthy.

    1. Wow, well done you aaaand you lived to re-tell the tale to the wide-eyed masses (me).

Never thought about the OC angle, but v2.0 is a well-timed endevour, if nothing else, with the likes of Gossip Girl and all that jazz.
