Swine Flu Did Not Kill Heidi & Spencer. Sigh.

Heidi Montag, 22, and Spencer Pratt, 25, used a superfluous trip to Mexico to promote themselves and their vapid personal brands. 

The pair were seen getting off their Mexican flight onto US soil wearing surgical masks to protect themselves from Swine Flu. The newlyweds had been at the center of the Swine Flu scare for their honeymoon; a trip that came after they finally got legally married, last week.

What in the heck is a nasty, murdering virus good for if not to kill the spawn of useless waste of space TV shows. The two questionable stars, neither of whom has ever seen a camera they did not like, returned home safely from the trip to Mexico.

I have a feeling God must have been sleeping on the job or something. He could have struck the mother effers down on the sly and no one would have been any the wiser.

The pair landed safely, signed autographs and then kissed with their masks on.

Lane Garrison Free From Jail

Lane Garrison, 28, the former Prison Break star, has been freed from his jail term. The actor, who was killed off of his own show around the same time as he was handed his sentence, served only forty months for his car crime in which he killed one teen and injured another.

Garrison of course did not cause the loss of life or injure the people concerned on purpose, but he did actually cause someone’s death. He was sentenced in November 2007 and he is free already, what gives?

See, this is the kind of wonky legal system that is probably going to let alleged woman-beater Chris Brown walk free from his trial soon.

I mean, is this crap for real; if I’d so much as spilled on the carpet growing up, mummy Grindhouse would lock me in the hall closet for at least 50 months at a time. This bish killed someone around the time I graduated and in the time it took me to start and get bored of two careers, he was freed.

This efftarded prison maths, where you get one day back for every day of good behaviour, has to stop. If mummy Grindhouse didn’t do it, neither should the US legal system. Boo!

Lady GaGa Advised To Take Time Off

Lady GaGa, 23, has been advised to take one month off, after she almost collapsed onstage during a show in Georgia earlier this month. 

The ‘Poker Face’ singer has been flying all over the world to promote her current album ‘The Fame’. Seems that being dragged from pillar to post in order to pimp out her album is taking its toll. Even as a (self-confessed) workaholic, the strain of the international travel and workload are taking their toll. 

The singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, has actually been on the go pretty much non-stop since summer 2008.

According to The Sun UK record bosses, smelling burn out, have ordered their star to take the whole of this August off (08/09). Contact Music say she is starting to feel the pressure of being such a huge success so soon/ having to jet set.

A source said “Stefani has been working relentlessly since last summer. She has criss-crossed the globe on numerous occasions promoting her album… and the pressure has now started to get to her.”

“At a recent show in Atlanta she nearly collapsed on stage the day after a particularly wild night out. Her management have spotted the warning signs and do not want her going off the rails. They’ve scrapped all her commitments in August to give her time to get her head straight.” They concluded.

I’d noticed too that Lady GaGa is kind of making some other artists look like slackers.

Singers, especially those who are shifting albums, do not necessarily do world promo tours/ long-winded junkets anymore. It’s not cost-effective. They stick to PR and cheaper web 2.0 based methods of promoting their wares.

I hope GaGa takes this health scare seriously and listens to her bosses… though I suspect she will soldier on regardless.

Celebrity Twitter & Aubrey O’Day Shot At Love

Aubrey O’Day, the 25-year-old former member of Danity Kane used her official Twitter to let fans know that she was not going to humiliate herself on TV show ’MTV Shot at Love’.

Rumours surfaced yesterday that the fired former singer, who recently has spent a lot of time spreadeagled in various men’s magazines, was going to turn her hand to a new reality show.

Well, that sounds about right and frankly I am a little surprised this is not true.  The show is about trashy bishes who like to talk crap about former rocker conquests, all the while with their bubes and boxes on show.

The star has spent an unfathomable amount of time lately with her box out and talking about how dirty she likes it in bed and frankly it’s MTV’s loss to not give her this show. 

From the official O’Day Twitter page, the songstress cleared up rumours.

“Hey Tweets! Just gotta set the record straight…I am NOT the new ‘MTV Shot at Love’ girl. At one point that deal was on the table, as were others, but I decided it wouldn’t be the right fit!”

Casey Aldridge Is Out Of Intensive Care

Casey Aldridge, 19, has been released from the intensive care unit and is able to walk around for the first time since his car accident on Sunday.

Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’s 10-month-old daughter Maddie, has been charged with careless operation of a vehicle, which is a misdemeanor.

“He came out of ICU,” a source tells People magazine, adding that doctors are hopeful they’ll soon be able to discharge Aldridge from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

Aldridge, 19, was driving a 2008 Ford F-250 pickup when the wreck occurred at 1:30 a.m. Sunday near Lake Bruin in Tensas Parish, La., Master Trooper Billy Ziegler of Louisiana State Police tells PEOPLE. The accident happened in a stretch of road described as an entry and exit for Lake Bruin, a recreational lake that is a popular spot to fish. Reps from his camp were quick to confirm drugs and alcohol were not involved.

A Word On The Site Comment Area

I just want to say “thanks”, to those of you who’d emailed to let me know you’d had some problems commenting on the site. I appreciate you taking the time to give me the heads up, so that I can fix it. These things do happen, and I have asked my tech to look at the problem and I think the problem should be solved now.

I have a suspicion it was one of my crack-addicted anti-spam plugins that was hungry and greedily eating comments and also blocking some real commenters. Eeek. I am very, very sorry for any inconvenience!!!

I know you guys like long comments and so appreciate that it’s a pain in the bum to rewrite and then resubmit (which you amaze me by doing anyway). As I say, the issue with people being stopped from commenting should be over, I think. So comment away as normal.

So you know, if comments do not appear right away, you may just need to wait a second and refresh your  page. Comments will either appear there or in my admin queue for moderation, where they will be reviewed the same day (sometimes even regular phrases/key words etc. trip the standard spam filter – and there ain’t a lot I can do about that, sorry. Do not worry too much, the comment will be fished out by me).

Let me know if anything else goes funny when you comment and I can get it ironed out for you. You guys continue to rock, and you amaze me with your dedication to sharing your views within this community. I heart you all.
