FINALLY - all the hair-pulling and eye-poking can stop - Madonna and Guy Rich Tea (my favourite brand of biscuit) have reached a divorce settlement [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Guy will be walking away from the marriage with NONE of Madonna’s $600 million fortune - BY CHOICE!
Let us examine this for one moment… Guy Rich Tea has about $60 million of his own money. This he earned largely before Madonna came along and pee-peed all over his cosy career of making ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ movies, over and over again (with ever-decreasing success). After this, he married Crotch-Flasher McGee, Madge and her $600million. I say he married her money too, as she must have stopped taking her meds, the day that she decided NOT to get a pre-nup!
Skip forward to 2008 and the marriage is in the pooper. The former pair lived in England, for a good chunk of their marriage and under English law, a spouse is entitled upto half of their wealthier spouses fortune.
According to The Daily Fail:
‘Ritchie could have taken her to the cleaners. He is a very honourable man to have walked away.’
I’m on the fence at the moment, with how I feel about this decision. I’ll leave it to you…
