Scary Spice, Mel B is set to renew her wedding vows with husband Stephen Belafonte.

The star is planning a large, tacky lavish celebrity filled ceremony. The event will be documented for OK! magazine and all for the low, low, low price of £200,000 [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

However, there is an ickle problem. Brown is a little short on showbiz friends. The singer is obligated to stuff her ceremony full of stars, in order to keep the magazine happy.

Brown has invited her fellow Spices. However, they may not come because of prior arrangements. In desperation, Brown has invited a myriad of other celebs in order to make up the numbers. Problem is the couple don’t know any of those people personally!

According to the Mirror:

So the happy couple have agreed to let their big day be featured in OK! magazine for an estimated £200,000 - on the condition that the ceremony in a posh resort in Egypt is witnessed by a host of celebs.

It has left Mel scrabbling around to invite stars she’s never actually spoken to, luring them with the promise of first class flights and a luxury hotel.

So far, Fearne Cotton, Sarah Harding, Denise Van Outen and Rachel Stevens have all been invited - but sadly none of them are able to attend. Our source reveals: “Mel and Stephen wanted a lavish do to celebrate their relationship. They agreed to allow the event to be covered by a magazine but are obliged to fulfil certain requirements.

“One of these is a certain quota of well-known faces - family and close friends simply won’t do.

Isn’t that how celebrity weddings work? Aren’t you supposed to have lots of pretty, thin, perma-tanned D-Listers filling in the gaps, so your regular friends don’t get in the way?

Actually scrap that… isn’t that how normal weddings work? I’ll take pretty strangers over life-long friends/ family any day of the week!
