Sources are today reporting that British reality show star Jade Goody is deathly ill, from her cervical cancer.
It had already been reported that Goody was diagnosed while on Big Boss, the Indian equivalent of Big Brother. Now news reaches us that she is in even worse health than originally thought [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
According to PNasty:
British reality staple Jade Goody will undergo a hysterectomy next week, after doctors said she would have DIED within three months without urgent treatment for her cervical cancer, according to the UK’s Sun.
Specialists reportedly told her on Thursday that a large tumor in her womb may have spread to her blood stream — putting major organs such as her liver and kidneys at risk. If she hadn’t left her post in the Big Brother India show immediately to receive treatment she could’ve been dead.
According to The Sun:
“She has serious second stage cancer and needs surgery as soon as possible. The cancer is in an advanced stage and was diagnosed in the nick of time. The bottom line is, if she’d stayed in India for the next three months, she wouldn’t be here.”
One of the most horrifying things about this news is that Goody was incorrectly given the all clear by her Doctors, after an initial bout of illness that saw her faint repeatedly.
Goody says she is heartbroken to hear that (mainly) the British public thinks this is a publicity stunt, as she is known for attention seeking:
“Since Big Brother my life has been fashioned by publicity. But no way would I want anyone to be in my shoes now. I have to try and brush that sort of stuff aside and concentrate on living and getting well again.”
Fame seeker this girl may be, but who is sick-in-the-head enough to fake cancer for attention?
This is a comedy/ satire/ humour site, but I have nothing funny to say. This is frightening and sad, yet a stark wake up call that we need to get ourselves looked over ladies!
