More tragic news has coming through the wire. Isaac Hayes passed away today aged 65 [Website – Amy Grindhouse]. This news comes only one day after the passing of comedian Bernie Mac.
Singer/ songwriter, Hayes, died early Sunday morning at his home in Memphis, Tennessee.
His wife found him on the floor near a treadmill inside his home. He was was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m.
The cause of death is unknown, but official reports say there is no foul play suspected.
Hayes is best known as a legendary musician, whose music made a real stamp on the 70’s scene.
In recent years Hayes gained popularity for his voice overwork in popular culture cartoon South Park, where he played character, Chef (right), from 1997 to 2006. He eventually left the show, as it conflicted with this Scientology beliefs (they made an episode which mocked the religion).
